Govind Pal’s Poetry Collection Released Amid Literary Gathering at Kolkata Book Fair


The launch of the Selected Best Bengali Poetry Collection by the well-known and distinguished senior litterateur Govind Pal was successfully held on 29 January at the Kolkata Book Fair 2026. The book was inaugurated by the renowned Indian author Baby Haldar.
The launch ceremony was organized by Gyanoda Publication, Kolkata, under the guidance of publisher Bimal Maiti. On behalf of Gyanoda Publication, Govind Pal was also honored with a certificate of appreciation, a bouquet of flowers, and other tokens of respect.
Several notable literary figures were present at the event, including Dulal Samaddar, Editor of Madhyabalay magazine; Haridas Bala, Editor of Samantha magazine; renowned storyteller, lyricist and novelist Santu Sarkar; poets Pallav Chatterjee, R. N. Debnath; children’s writer Sapan Pal; Prakash Mandal, along with many local poets and writers.
