Govind Pal Honoured with the ‘Bharat Bhasha Bhushan Samman’
Bhopal: Senior litterateur Govind Pal, born in Panna (Madhya Pradesh) and now based in Bhilai (Chhattisgarh), was conferred the prestigious ‘Bharat Bhasha Bhushan Samman’ in recognition of his significant literary contributions. The honour was presented at a National Felicitation Ceremony organized by the Akhil Bharatiya Bhasha Sahitya Sammelan on 17 February at the Raj Sabhagar of Dushyant Kumar Smarak Pandulipi in Bhopal.
The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Raghunandan Sharma, former Member of Parliament and Executive President of Manas Bhavan, Bhopal. The event was presided over by Vijaydutt Shridhar, Padma Shri awardee and Director of the Madhavrao Sapre Journalism Research Institute. Distinguished guests included Padma Shri Kailash Chandra Pant, senior lyricist Yatindra Nath Rahi, senior litterateur Ram Vallabh Acharya, National President Dr. Virendra Singh, and Secretary Dr. Kirti Chaturvedi.
Govind Pal was honoured with a shawl, a ceremonial coconut, and a citation. On this occasion, several other eminent writers from different states across the country were also felicitated with various national honours. Prominent literary figures of the capital city, including Ghanshyam Maithil Amrit, Ashok Nirmal, Manoj Jain Madhur, V. K. Srivastava, and Rishi Shrangari were also present.
An acclaimed author of poetry, songs, ghazals, short stories, children’s literature, and translations, Govind Pal has received numerous national honours for his dedicated and long-standing service to Hindi literature.
