Book Launch of Bhilai Writers
The World Book Fair was organized at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from 10 January to 18 January 2026. During this prestigious event, three office-bearer writers of Mukt swar Sahitya Samiti, Bhilai, had their books published by New World Publication, New Delhi, under the guidance of renowned poet and literary figure and President of the committee, Govind Pal.
The book launch ceremony was held on 16 January at Bharat Mandapam, where the books were released one by one. The published poetry collections include:
“Shalu Ke Pyar Bhare Naghme” by Vice President Shishlata Shalu,
“Deewar Par Tangi Tasveer” by Deputy Secretary Shankar Bhattacharya, and
“Farz Ke Deepak Jalayen” by Treasurer Santosh Kumar Jatav ‘Jalauni’.
The books were unveiled by famous Delhi-based storyteller and writer Mukesh Mohan Chandra, eminent literary figure Dharmendra Gupta ‘Sahil’, writer Kuldeep Sharma, Husn Tabassum ‘Nihan’, author Yogesh Dhyani, poet Sumit, young writer Arifa Avis, senior literary personality Govind Pal, along with former Director of the Rare Earth Atomic Research Centre, Government of India, Arunabh Rai Choudhury, and Mrs. Shivani Rai Choudhury, among others.
Specially present on the occasion were renowned children’s writer from Himachal Pradesh Pawan Chauhan, writer from Raipur, Chhattisgarh Jaiprakash Manas, and ghazal poet Mamtaj, along with thousands of visitors who witnessed the ceremony.
This World Book Fair featured around 1,000 publishers including 35 international publishers, over 600 cultural programs, and exhibitions of nearly 66,000 varieties of books. The book launch of three writers from Chhattisgarh is a matter of great pride for Chhattisgarh and Bhilai.
