Bade Bacheli is a town and Nagar Palika located in the Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh, India.  Situated approximately 400 km from Raipur, the state capital, it is accessible by road and rail, with connections to cities like Jagdalpur and Visakhapatnam.

Population: As per the 2011 Census, Bade Bacheli had a population of 21,435.  Estimates suggest that by 2025, the population has grown to approximately 31,100.  

Languages: The official languages are Hindi and Chhattisgarhi. 

Governance: The town is administered as a Municipality, divided into 18 wards.

🏭 Industrial Significance

Bade Bacheli is renowned for its rich iron ore deposits and is home to the Bailadila Iron Ore Mine, operated by the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC).  The Bacheli Complex includes deposits 5, 10, and 11A, making it a significant site for iron ore mining in India.  

The town has developed as an NMDC township, equipped with facilities such as schools, hospitals, and community centers to support the workforce and their families.
